Tortellini with Pancetta & Peas

This was my favorite dinner when I was a kid. No one makes it as well as my mom but here's a recipe so you can try! You will need a package of tortellini, remember that the serving size on the package is for a side dish if you are serving it for dinner. I like to buy it at Costco. You get two packs but you can freeze one.
Ingredients:
Tortellini
1/2 cup peas
Sauce:
1/2 cup butter
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 cups heavy cream
1/4 teaspoon white pepper
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
3/4 cup mozzarella cheese
4 slices pancetta diced into small pieces

Start by boiling your water (remember to salt & add a teaspoon of olive oil to your water) while your tortellini are cooking start making your sauce. At the last minute of boiling time add your peas to the water.
Melt butter in medium saucepan over medium/low heat.
Add the garlic, cream, white pepper and bring mixture to a simmer.
Stir often, add pancetta.
Add the Parmesan cheese and simmer sauce for 8-10 minutes, simmer 3-5 more minutes or until sauce has thickened and is smooth.
When sauce has thickened add the mozzarella cheese and stir until smooth. STIR FREQUENTLY
Drain the water from your tortellini & peas top with your sauce enjoy!
On a side note I used to babysit these 2 cute little boys. Robert was 4, he too like tortellini but called them Turtle Weenies. :)
