Dani's Quiche Lorianne

This recipe comes from one of my best friend's Dani. She said that even her kids like this & kids can be a tough audience! Having a great quiche recipe is so handy, it travels well & can be eaten for breakfast or dinner. This is a picture of Dani & her beautiful children.

pre-made pie crust
10 slices bacon, crisply cooked and crumbled
1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
1/3 cup finely chopped onion
4 large eggs
2 cups heavy whipping cream
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/8 tsp. cayenne

1) Heat oven to 375 degrees. Grease 9" pie plate. Unroll pie crust and place in pie plate. Prick sides and bottom with fork and bake 10 minutes

2) Sprinkle bacon, cheese and onions in pie plate.

3) In medium bowl, beat eggs slightly. Add remaining ingredients and beat well. Pour over cheese, bacon and onions. Bake 15 minutes.

4) Remove from oven and cover pie crust edges with foil to prevent them from becoming overcooked.

5) Reduce oven temperature to 300 degrees and continue to bake for another 30 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Let stand for 10 minutes before cutting.
