French 75

I love when parties have signature cocktails, I love it more when weddings do! At the Newport Rhode Island wedding we just went to the cocktail was the French 75, I am assuming because the wedding was held in a French Chateau style mansion. On a hot day they were nice and refreshing and looked great on the trays served post-ceremony. I think the signature cocktail at our wedding in Mexico was tequila shots :)

1 1/2 oz Gin

2 oz Lemon Juice

Champagne

2 tsp Superfine Sugar

Garnish: Cherry

Mix all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice except champagne. Strain into a champagne flute. Top with champagne. Garnish with cherry.
