After Dinner Coffee and Cookies

Long after dinner and deserts have been served you might have lingering guests. Why not serve coffee and aperitifs with some chocolate cookies? For aperitifs, I would have Bailey's, Kahlua and some Port. Brew some fresh coffee and place your cookies on a tray.

1/4 cup butter
1/4 crisco
3/4 cup of sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon Mexican Vanilla
7 Tablespoons Cocoa Powder
1 3/4 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup fat free half and half or whole milk

Preheat the oven to 400. In your Kitchen Aid, combine the butter and crisco. And the sugar in slowly. Beat well, add in egg, vanilla and cocoa powder, beat well. Combine other dry ingredients, add them slowly alternating with the milk. Mix well. Drop teaspoon size drops on a cookie sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes.
